Paige is a full time high school student, living in NC, and currently enrolled in college classes studying animal science.
Paige began competing in junior showmanship with her Boston terrier at nine years of age. Later, in 2014, her grandparents sought out a sporting dog for Paige to handle. A Brittany Spaniel by the name of Dolly became Paige’s primary junior dog. Due to knee surgery 2017 she made the switch to another Brittany named Turbo. Turbo was the perfect fit for her at the time. He moved at a slower pace which helped accommodate her recovering knee, and allowed her to build back up her strength and speed. Now Paige is fully recovered from her surgery and looking forward to being able to do more dog shows.
Paige is eager to share her story with you juniors and let you know what life as a junior handler looks like, soon after, you age out. What are Paige’s priorities now? Is she currently working for anyone? What is her plan moving forward? Find out at the next Meet the Professionals!
ABOUT MEET THE PROFESSIONALS
Meet the Professionals for Junior Handlers is a monthly webinar facilitated by Kelly Lyn Marquis and WinAll Coaching LLC. The purpose of the program is to bridge the gap between professional dog show handlers and junior handlers who aspire to become pros. It provides an opportunity for juniors to get to know handlers on a more personal level, learn unique training tips and methods, and create an open forum for juniors to access the expertise of top professionals nationwide. Junior handlers are typically between 9 and 18 years old.
The program is designed for junior handlers but anyone interested in professional handling is welcome to attend.
